How to take snapshot on your iDevice.

Press Sleep/Wake button alongwith the Home button, it will take the snapshot and this will be stored in the Photos section.

Downgrade Baseband 6.15.00 to 5.13.04 and unlock with ultrasn0w

UPDATE- YOU NEED TO USE SN0WBREEZE 2.9.3 for creating ipsw with ipad baseband on iOs 5.1 on windows.

First of all lets be clear that this method will only work for iPhone 3G with bootloader version 5.08 (5.8)! Otherwise, you can consider this.
You can quickly check your bootloader version by using TinyUmbrella. It should show your bootloader version right away. Alternatively, you can also use f0recast. The screenshot below shows an iPhone 3G with bootloader version 5.9.

FOR THIS THING TO WORK, YOU SHOULD HAVE UGRADED YOUR IPHONE TO IPAD BASEBAND 6.15.00 FIRST, IF NOT THEN GO TO THIS POST AND DO IT….

UPGRADE TO IPHONE BASEBAND

Lets F*** that unlock…
You need!

1. Jailbroken iPhone 3G
2. Fuzzyband – install this from Cydia
3. afc2add – install this from Cydia
4. i-Funbox – a file explorer for iPhone, Mac users can use DiskAid
5. 6.15.00 certificate (ICE2-06.15.00.cert) for Fuzzyband

Steps:

1. Launch Fuzzyband after installing the app via Cydia.
2. Connect your iPhone to the computer.
3. Launch i-FunBox and select File, then go to Applications/Fuzzyband.app, right-click and then select Copy from PC.
4. Copy ICE2-06.15.00.cert you have downloaded earlier to this location
5. Go back to Fuzzyband and you can now begin the downgrade process. If the downgrade is successfully, you should see “I Haz Downgrade”
6. You can now unlock it with ultrasn0w and solve your GPS issue, error during restore etc.

if you have done everything alright, you should be able to use your phone…

Tip of the day- Baseband preserving method

hi friends,

we know that when ever new iOS come in the market, you just want to use the features and try it.
well but its scary if you use software unlock for using you phone…

the best method is to wait for unlock and jailbreak but if you really wanna try it
then just

preserve your baseband and update with the custom ipsw.

how to do it?
1- Download Redsn0w’s latest version available
2- go to extras or option other than jailbreak
3- choose create ipsw or custom ipsw.
4- create the ipsw and use that created ipsw with iTunes to restore normally
5- Done!

Unlock iPhone 4 with Gevey SIM- instructions

hi there…

for those who have bought Gevey SIM (this is for GEVEY SUPREME) they can follow this step by step guide to unlock their iPhone.

PROCEDURE FOR UNLOCK- follow the same procedure

1.) reboot
2.) as soon as it starts unlock the screen immediately
3.) u will see accept message .. ‘accept’
4.) wait until you see single bar in network
5.) dial 112 and hangup in 2 seconds, dont wait for it to ring , just dial wait for 2 seconds and cut the call
6.) go to settings and put airplane mode on
7.) wait 45 seconds , you will see an alert saying ‘No sim card installed’
8.) put off airplane mode
9.) you will get ‘Sim Failure’ message
10.) now once again put on airplane mode and then put off the airplane mode , you should get signal now


it might take more than 3 min but be patient..

How to restore custom IPSW without any error?

Errors like 1600, 1601….
Can’t Restore your iDevice….
iTunes giving Error.

When you try to restore stock iOS file to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, the bootloader of your iDevice accepts it without throwing any error.

The iBoot of all new-bootrom iDevices is well capable of differentiating between stock and custom IPSWs. So, if you will try to restore custom IPSW, it can throw error 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 21, 3194, 3014 or 1013.

iTunes error 21 means you are trying to restore the custom IPSW through Recovery Mode instead of restoring through DFU mode. To put your iDevice in DFU mode, hold down the Home+Power button for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, release the Power button but keep holding the Home button until iTunes detect your iDevice in DFU mode

-Release the power button without releasing the HOme button till your iREB detects your iDevice in DFU mode
4-Then Restore using iTunes.

for Mac users..do the following with Redsn0w (Download from HERE)

1-Open Redsn0w and Browse for your Stock IPSW(original apple one).
2-Choose Stock iOS IPSW for your device and click open
3-Wait while Redsn0w verifies it.
4-Now Redsn0w will patch the kernel of provided IPSW
5- Now select the option accordingly “ Just enter pwned DFU mode right now.
6- Turn off your phone and follow the steps as it appears on the Redsn0w software.

hold down power for 3 seconds
hold down HOME + POWER for approx 10 sec
release the power button without releasing the home button till redsn0w says that your phone is in DFU mode.

7- now connect your iDevice to iTunes and then do Shift+Restore (Option+restore) and restore using the custom Bundle you have.

Good news to all jailbreakers that depends on the iPhone unlock, 
. The iPhone Dev Team successfully releases the revamped version of Ultrasn0w (version 1.2) to unlock the latest version of Apple operating system, the iOS 4.2.1. 

However, at the moment, the new carrier unlock tool only works on the iPhone 3GS and 3G. It might take a lot of time before the iPhone Dev Team launches a new tool that supports the iPhone 4. From the iPhone Dev Team blog:
