unlock iOS 5.1 and ultrasn0w fixer for 5.1

Those people who rely on software unlock ultrasn0w to unlock their devices.

keep this in mind

1- do not update from iOS downloaded from iTunes or it will update your baseband resulting in permanent locking of your phone……(you can use it as iPod touch then)

2-if you want to update… then download the ios 5.1 and Redsn0w, now create custom ipsw using Redsn0w so that your baseband could be preserved.. make sure that you update via iTunes only with the custom ipsw you have created with Redsn0w which has No_BB in the begninnging….

3- Now once your are done updating your iphone, then its time to jailbreak using Redsn0s or Snowbreeze. but this is only for non A-5 devices. that means iPhone 4s, the new iPad cant be done using this.
4- now once your are done jailbreaking…  then do the unlock

before we get started, you’ll want to make sure your handset is on one of the following basebands: 01.59.00, 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.13.01, 05.12.01, 06.15.00. You can check this by going to Settings > General > About > Modem Firmware.

But Ultrasn0w cant unlock iOS 5.1 as it has some flaws… so do the following.

Step 1. Ultrasn0w Fixer isn’t in a default repo, so you’ll have to add it. To do this, open up Cydia > Manage > Sources > Edit > Add, and type in the following URL:http://repo.iparelhos.com.
Step 2. Once the repo is done loading, search Cydia for Ultrasn0w Fixer. Locate it and install it like a typical package.
Step 3. After the Fixer is done installing, you need to grab the latest version of Ultrasn0w. This is in a default repo, so all you have to do is search for and install it.

thank me for that now!
